King of Colosseum: II was released by Spike in August of 2004 and is the full sequel to King of Colosseum Red and King of Colosseum Green. King of Colossum II, or KOC 2 as it is often referred to, has once again brought it's gameplay engine from the previous games in the series as well as it's graphics engine. While both were expanded and noticably tweaked, it still felt very familiar to players of the previous games in the series. While deemed a worthy upgrade over the previous games, Many fans have begun to feel like an overhaul to the series is in order before any further games are released. The Edit Mode is the most glaring issue, as it is lacking compared to other games that have come out in the past few years.

The biggest Improvement in KOC 2 is the fact that the entire game is on One Disc this time, and that all Rosters are represented. Following the failure of the "Fusion" feature of KOC Red and KOC Green, Spike made the wise decision of including everything in one game. This did come with drawbacks though, as load times have increased across the board, drawing ire from longtime fans.
